Because of the risk of the Sichuan-Tibet Northern Route, less of person travel this way. Even with the lancruiser enthusiasts here also will find this route is dangerous. A long time at high altitudes driving, very rough rouad with bad condition, the descent around 4,500 metres, the narrow dust road, landslides and avalanches along constantly...But the real lancrusier adventure enthusiasts is always excited with this route. Well, don't hesitate to make adequate preparations for the expedition Sichuan- Tibet Northern Route.

Day by Day Itinerary:
Day01: Chengdu- Kangding(370km, asphalt road, 6 hours driving, 2560m) Overnight at Kangding 3star hotel
It¡¯s 147KM from Chengdu to Kangding.The first place we¡¯ll go is Yaan.It¡¯s famous for its" rain,beauty woman and fish". Our car is driving along the dainty Qingyi river and pass into the mountain Erlang.It¡¯s 3437M and the first difficult road because of the high,narrow way. On the nightfall, we will arrive at Kangding.we can go to Erdao bridge hot spring to have a rest.

Day02: Kangding- Tagong- Bamei( 215km, good conditon road, 4 hours driving) Overnight at  Bamei dorm bed.
Drving from Kangding to Bamei to visit Tanggong Monastery, afternoon visit Garthar Chode Monastery of Bamei.
 
Day03: Bamei- Daofu- Luhuo(180km, good conditon road, 3 hours drving)  Overnight at Luhuo staner room.
Drive from Bamei to Daofu visit Nyitso Monastery, then to Luhuo, visit Drango Gompa.

Day04: Luhuo- Kasuo-tso ( Kasa Lake)-  Ganzi(100km, good condition road, 3394m) Overnight at Ganzi standeroom
Drive from Luohuo to Ganze, about 20km from Ganzi have a look at Kasuo-tso. In the afternoon visit Garze Monastery and some  small monsteries around.
 
Day05: Ganzi - Manigango- Yihun La-tso ( Xinlu hai)-  Derge(220km, rough road, 4000m)   Overnight at Derge staner room
Drive from Ganzi to Manigango, around 13km after Manigango is Yilhun La-tso ( Xinluhai), a stunning, holy alpine lake bordered by chortens and dozens of rock carvings. And you will have a chance to the huge glaciers of 6018m Que'er Mountain. Arrives at Gerge to visit Derge Bakong Scripture Pringing Press and Monastery. 

Day06: Derge- Chamdo(340km, rough road, 3600m) Overnight at Chamdo staner room
Drive from Derge to Chamdo via Jomda, crossing the Jinsha river at the boarder and several high passes.
 
Day07: Chamdo- Jampaling Monastery- Riwoche(105km, 5-6hours, rough road, 3800m)   Overnight at Riwoche dorm bed
Chamdo is the major transport, administrative and trade centre of the Kham region. In the morning visit Jampaling Monastery on the hilltop, do pilgrimage circumambulation. Then drive to Riwoche.

Day08: Riwoche- Riwoche Monastery- Tengchen (150KM,6-7hours, rough road, 4200m)  Overnight at Tengchen dorm bed
Morning drive to visit Riwoche Monastery Tsuglhakhang, then start driving to Tengchen, visit Zhizhu Monastery, considered to be Tibet's largest Bon Monastery. This part road from Riwoche to Tengchen is very narrow, better no stop on the way.

Day09: Tengche- Sok (306km, 8hours, rough road, 4500m)    Overnight at Sok dorm bed.
Today you will see the fabulous views of nomad camps and yak herds made tiny by the huge range of snowy peaks to the south, cross the stunning Shel-la(4830m) pass, probably you will have a chance to visit the impressive Sok Tsanden Monastery, the miniature Potala.

Day10: Sok- Nagchu (238km, 6hours, rough road, 4500m)    Overnight at Nagchu staner room
Today you will be well and truly in the grasslands of northern Tibetan. on the way you will pass several small villages, nomad tents.

Day11: Nagchu- Namtso Lake (210km, 4hours, good road, 4718m)   Overnight at Tent guesthouse.
Take the Qinghai-Tibet Hway to arrive at Damxung, then pass the Largen-La, arrives at one of the three holy lakes in Tibet - Namtso. You can do a bit walking at Namtso Lake side.
 
Day12: Namtso- Yangbachen hot-spring- Lhasa(250Km, 4hours, asphalt road, 3200m)    Overnight at Lhasa 3star hotel
After a bit walking at Namtso, start driving back to Lhasa, on the way go to Yangbachen have a hot-spring, wash over all dust after a long jounery.

Day13: Lhasa city tour     Overnight in Lhasa 3 star hotel
Morning time visit Potala Palace. Then visit Jokhang Temple, walk around Barkhor Market.
                                                                                           
Day14: Lhasa city tour     Overnight at Lhasa 3 star hotel
Morning time visit Drepung Monastery. , then afternoon to Sera Monastery.

Day15: Lhasa airport or train station dropping off.
