Quake brings no influence to Tibetan railway

The 6.6 magnitude earthquake in Damxung County of Lhasa did no harm to the Qinghai-Tibet Railway and currently, the railway works as usual.

Background: According to the China Earthquake Networks Center an earthquake measuring 6.6 degrees on the Richter scale with a depth of 8 kilometers, jolted Damxung County (29.8 north latitude and 90.3 east longitude) of Lhasa in Tibet, at 16:30 Oct. 6. The regional capital city Lhasa is about 82 kilometers away from the epicenter and can visibly feel the tremor.
