Tibet prohibits eating donkeys, horse meat and dog meat. In some areas, tibetan people do not eat fish, shrimp, snake, eel and seafood; Tibetan people have good etiquette and custom descending from ancient times, such as, honest, respecting the age loving the young.
Tibetan culture and custom in drinking are exiremely rich. Every time new wine is prepared. Tibetan people will always offer to the deity first, and then to elder in the family, and drink it themselves finally.
While meeting guests, in addition to dipping figers inthe wine and playing ofr three times, tibetan people will also catch a little hiahland barley and cast to the sky for three times, which means: often to the Heaven, offer to the ground, offer to the deity.
Presenting the hada. It is the grandest Etiquette of the tibetan and will b presented in such occasions as festival, wedding celebrations, funeral, paying and offical call to the elder, worshipping before budddha, message exchanges, seeing off friends for a long journey ect. Especially when presenting to the elder or honered gusets, the person who present the hada shall to hold up the had with both hands as high own forehead, bow 90 hang it gently on necks of the elder or honored guests, open two arms, bow 90 again, drop backward slowly.
